The Joseph Business School (JBS) has unveiled an ambitious five-year initiative aimed at helping 100,000 entrepreneurs build million-dollar companies. The initiative, which was announced today, focuses on uplifting underserved communities globally and reflects JBS’s commitment to fostering economic growth and empowering individuals through education and entrepreneurship.
The global entrepreneurship initiative will provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs, including training, mentorship, and access to capital. By leveraging JBS’s expertise and resources, the initiative aims to create a new generation of successful business leaders who can drive positive change in their communities.

“We believe we are about to make a huge impact in Black and Brown communities,” said Dr. Deloris Thomas, president of JBS, noting the campaign’s reach will be global. “We found that 80 percent of our U.S. entrepreneurs reinvest in the communities where they come from and hire within the community, and their businesses outperform the national average. This makes it the opportune time for us to be serious about eradicating poverty and changing conditions in our community.”
A unique aspect of the initiative is its focus on underserved communities, which often face significant barriers to entrepreneurship. By targeting these areas, JBS aims to bridge the gap and provide opportunities for those who have been historically marginalized.
Dr. Bill Winston, founder of the Joseph Business School, emphasized the importance of access to opportunities and resources. “Poverty is not caused by a lack of resources but rather a lack of self-production,” Dr. Winston stated. “We believe we can help nurture the gifts evident in these underserved communities and turn them into entrepreneurial ventures whereby they can close the wealth gap in communities, their families, and the world.”
